Divey, hole in the wall type place but wasn't too bad finding metered street parking. Came for the bistec sandwich of course which was everything you imagined it to be. Great value, tasty, hot and fresh. Service was good, a few stool and seats if you want to eat there but I grabbed to go. Def a great spot for a quick lunch to go.

Great sandwiches but the prices are too much for the size! Make the sandwiches bigger if you're going to charge more.

This is such a simple place with only two food items, a steak sandwich with or without cheese and onions. They have a selection of milkshakes as well. There are no frills inside the restaurant but they don't need it because the food is fantastic. The sandwich is layered with shaved steak, French fries and cheese and onions if you so choose (I recommend you add them!) I enjoyed every bite and the service was amazing as well. Already cannot wait to go back!

... where do I begin?? Mmmm- so for a person who does not really ever favor "meat", let alone "crave" -this is a compliment, no? Why does the English language lack "un signo de interrogación invertido"? I could reeeeealy use one right now!! This is about the ONLY STEAK SANDWICH I crave- it's scrumptious !! This place, well, was located in downtown Union city - As I recall- but it has many good memories attached - the common denominator being the ":steak sandwich and batidos"!! My dad would excuse me for lunch at school and take me to the sandwich shop for a quick bite. Such a treat- skipping school lunch substituting it with Dad- time!! Perfectly "MOJO"-seasoned and thinly sliced "finger picking" pieces of saltiness in a French fried filled sandwich ; cheese optional. THATS IT!!! And it's more than enough!! They have 5-6 tasty flavors of shakes - again- deliciously combined and blended - for your cheat gym day- for sure!! I normally get my sandwich well press-toasted, con queso- ketchup on the side, cut in 3, batido de trigo ó de MAMEY con mucho hielo! Extra cup of ice!! And a materva! I place this particular order to my favorite Salvadorean lady who has worked there the longest - with Plenty of napkins. I always wonder how she feels about smelling like the best steak sandwich in New Jersey; : ) No Mayo! ONLY CASH!!! Clean , clean place! Ran in total synchronization- you can eat there - not huge - but comfy. WARNING: if you do not want to smell like food; I suggest place order by calling, ask what time your order will be ready and how much, cash in hand - tip the change ; sprint out. Eat in open area - the aroma will defy every attempt to conceal your indulgence. Lol :). Get ready for lots of taste!! Buen provecho!! Sorry - no pics!!! I would really like to find pictures of the original place- what a treat that would be. . . Stay tuned - happy slurping!

You know what you want when you visit Dos Amigos. Famous steak sandwich! Service is always good, never expect less. People are pleasant. The owner is always welcoming and so you know, is cash only. But the spot is well worth it. Ambiance is like an old school cafeteria style place. A must have if you are in the West New York, NJ area.

Honestly no words because it's that good. Pan con bistec is just one of those sandwiches you inhale and think about later.

Hands down, best steak sandwich in North Jersey. My friend introduced me to Dos Amigos and my life has not been the same since. Honestly, you can't untaste the perfect steak sandwich. Perfect meat-to-bread ratio, crisp on the bread, and the queso! Must try it. Suggestion: You can also round off the sandwich with a mamey fruit milkshake (batidos). So good!
